Meet Dr. Sarah Jacobi, PT, DPT

Dr. Sarah (she/her) was professionally trained as a performance coach in 2014 during her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University. She went on to pursue advanced training in motivational interviewing, positive psychology, and trauma-informed care, and has trained other coaches on best practices.

In 2015, Sarah experienced a life-changing injury when her leg suddenly paralyzed (read the story here). After going through that experience, she decided to go into physical therapy. She obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire in 2021. Throughout her schooling and early career, she used her coaching skills daily as a physical therapist, helping clients define their goals, troubleshoot obstacles, and reflect on how far they had come. Dr. Sarah has centered her practice around body inclusivity and draws inspiration from health at any size, fit and fat, queer and trans visibility, and diverse disability representation in sport, like the Paralympics and Special Olympics.

Dr. Sarah and her wife recently moved to the Netherlands to start a new life with their menagerie of pets. She enjoys reading, drawing, learning new things, playing video and board games, and throwing all the balls for her two goofy pitty rescues. Dr. Sarah also recently celebrated 11 years of sobriety and is committed to her self-improvement journey.
